Alyssa is currently enrolled at Eastern Michigan University where she is working towards her Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in mental health and chemical dependency. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Madonna University in 2013 graduating with highest honors. She has almost ten years combined experience working with children and with adults in the mental health field. She worked for a non-profit organization, City Year, located in Detroit. This program offered a year long opportunity to service the community and help children with their educational goals. She worked in Hayward, California at Montessori Children’s House where she provided homework help, tutored, mentored, and provided a safe learning environment for students. She spent two and a half years working for Premier Professional Group, a doctor’s office specializing in mental health disorders. Here she became familiar with diagnostics, medications, insurance, and the sensitive needs of clients across the board.
Sarah Dubicki is a Limited License Master Social Worker. She is a graduate from Wayne State University and specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has always had a passion for children and their development. While placed in a school social work internship, she provided social and emotional support for children in the preschool, elementary and high school special education settings. Post-graduation Sarah facilitated Paper People, an early intervention curriculum, in the early childhood and community setting. In addition, she was a childcare provider for medically fragile and developmentally delayed children. In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling, yoga,and reading.
